Varsity Golf 

Saturday the DLS Golf Team placed 8th out of 20 teams at The Fortress Golf Club. Collin Urbas led the team with a 75, Max Teschendorf 81, Joey Finazzo 81, Luke Moceri 88, and Rickie Artymovich 88. Today the Pilots are at Oakland Hills.   

Varsity Lacrosse 

Our Pilot Lacrosse Team went 1 and 1 in the last two games. This past Thursday they had a gritty 12-11 come-from-behind victory against Dakota. The Pilots scored 6 goals in just over two minutes to end the third quarter and to start the fourth quarter, which sealed the win. Junior midfielder Nico Palazzolo was excellent at the face-off stripe and led the team with 6 goals. Senior midfielder Payton Babich also had a 6-point game on 4 goals and 2 assists. Senior goalie Djeka Micahovic was again strong in the net, making 16 saves. 

Saturday the Pilots fell short 18-6 against a solid Forrest Hills Northern team. Payton Babich led the Pilots with 3 goals and 2 assists. Junior attackman JJ Starrett had a goal and an assist, while junior midfielder Nico Palazzolo added a goal. Sophomore midfielder Max Krug got his first varsity goal, as well.  The Pilots are now 3-4 overall.

Varsity Baseball 

Our Varsity Baseball team lost both games to OLSM 17-8 and 9-5.  In game one Andrew Gingle (Sr) lead the offensive attack with 2 hits, including his first home run of the season. And In game two Adam Broski (Sr) hit a three-run home run. Donny Hopp (Jr) had 2 hits. AJ Slavko (Jr) showed strong grit in his 4 innings of work and Mason Pilarski (SO) and Brady Pellegrom (Jr) combined to give the Pilots three innings of strong relief. The Pilots scratched and clawed their way back from an early 9-0 deficit to bring the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the 7th but came up short. The Pilots are now 3-6 on the season and look to rebound Wednesday this week vs U of D.
