Wrestling 

The DLS Wrestling team competed in the MHSAA Individual Regional competitions at Chippewa Valley this past Saturday.  It was a great showing for our Pilots as 7 wrestlers qualified for the MHSAA Individual State Finals which will be held at Ford Field on March 3rd and 4th. Also, congratulations to coaches Dave Prince and Brendan Hazelton who were named Michigan Wrestling Coaches Association regional coaches of the year.

Bowling

This weekend the bowling competed in the CHSL Championships.  To start, they qualified 4th where they were then matched up to face the #1 seed OLSM in a best of 3 baker match. The Pilots started off hot by winning the 1st game 160-159. But they, unfortunately, lost the next two matches 164-158 and 140-121.  Great effort, Pilots!

Hockey

DLS Varsity Hockey finished off their regular season this past weekend with a game against Catholic Central. Benjamin VanderDonck '23 stopped 49/55 shots but the Pilots fell short 6-1. Luke Garner '23 had the lone goal, assisted by Bryson Row '25 and Jerome Sciturro '23.

Pilots’ athletic schedule for this week:

-The Varsity Swim Team has a league matchup tonight against Catholic Central.  The meet begins at 6:00 pm and will be at Warren Woods Tower High School. 

-The Pilot Hockey Team begins the State Playoffs and hosts the MHSAA Regional Tournament this week, as the #2 seed. They will face off vs Port Huron Northern Thursday, at 7:30 pm, @ Mt. Clemens Ice Arena. We look to seeing you there!

-Varsity Basketball had the weekend off but returns to action tonight against U of D in the first round of the Catholic League Tournament.  The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm @ Marian High School.  

-Varsity Wrestling heads to the Team State Quarterfinals match for the first time in school history.  This Friday our Pilots, as the #8 seed, will face up against #1 seed Catholic Central at Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo. 

-Varsity Bowling also has their MHSAA Regional Team event this Friday. It begins at 9:00 am @ 300 Bowl in Waterford.
