Football
Let’s Gooooo!!!! On Saturday afternoon, our De La Salle Pilots earned their spot at Ford Field and advanced to their second straight state championship game, therefore, looking to win back-to-back titles! The Pilots cruised to a 43-15 win against Birmingham Groves in the semi-final game. The victory was certainly a testament to their dominance throughout the playoffs. Throughout their journey to Ford Field, the Pilots have outscored their opponents 175-29. The defense has been locked in and rock solid, while the balanced offensive attack has been nearly impossible to stop.
Senior quarterback Brady Drogosh has led his team to a 12-1 record and has a total of 18 touchdowns (11 passing and 7 rushing) during this playoff run. The offensive line has also been nothing short of spectacular. They opened up the holes this past Saturday which led to six rushing TDs. Coach Rohn and staff have developed such a well-rounded team that it might take a freight train to stop these Pilots from winning back-to-back state titles.
So it all comes down to this Friday, November 25th at 1:00 PM at Ford Field. Our De La Salle Pilots will take on the Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central Rangers for the MHSAA Division 2 State Championship. We wish our Varsity Football Team the best of luck and know that they are ready to rock!
Let’s go, Pilots!
