Five DLS Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Last Wednesday, November 9th, was the 2022-2023 Initial Signing Date for prospective student-athletes enrolling in college in the fall. On this day, many high school seniors can begin to sign their letter of intent, therefore, locking down their athletic scholarship. For De La Salle, it was a special day for five Pilot athletes. We are pleased to congratulate seniors, Nino Smith, Adam Broski, Gabe Jones, Michael Sulaka, and Zachary Femminineo on their success. All their hard work and dedication have certainly paid off. Here is more information on where these young men will be attending college this fall.

Nino Smith- Signed with Lake Superior State University for basketball.  The three-year, varsity letterman started at point guard last season and played a crucial part in leading the De La Salle Basketball program to their first-ever State Championship. Smith was recently named team captain and will certainly be an exciting player to watch all season.

Adam Broski- Signed with Michigan State University for baseball. Broski is a three-year, varsity letterman playing both basketball and baseball. With his commitment to baseball, he hopes to continue his career catching for the MSU Spartans. We look forward to his final baseball season here at De La Salle, and wish him all the best. GO GREEN!

Gabe Jones- Ball State University for baseball. Jones is a right-handed pitcher for the Pilots, throwing just under 90 mph. He has been an excellent addition to the De La Salle Baseball program and we are so proud of his success. Best of luck, Jones, we hope you have many strike-outs in your future!

Michael Sulaka- Western Michigan University. The three-year, varsity letterman started last season and was a huge part in leading the De La Salle Basketball program to their first-ever State Championship. Sulaka, a 6’9” Center, is a force on the court and we look forward to watching him dominate this season. Best of luck, Sulaka! Go Broncos!

Zachary Femminineo- Signed with Mercyhurst University for Soccer.  Femminineo is a three-year, varsity letterman and started at attack for the Pilots. This year, he was named team captain and led the Pilots in scoring. Femminineo was also named 1st Team All-State honors. We are so proud of you, Zach, and we wish you all the best!
