Football
It truly was a great weekend to be a Pilot! Over 30 Academic Scholars were honored at Ford Field, and our Varsity Football team defeated U of D 49-14, therefore, becoming 2022 Catholic League Champions for the 2nd year in a row. Senior, Brady Drogosh, had three touchdown passes on the day. Two were thrown to senior, Jack Yanachik, and the other, to senior, Aaron White. Seniors, Sherron Sutton and Chauncy Shaw, and junior, Rhett Roeser, each added a TD of their own on the ground. And juniors, Dylan Trondle and Bebe Rabhi, hooked up for a 60 yard TD to finish off the dominating offensive performance from the Pilots. The Pilots, now 8-1, begin their journey this Friday to try to get back to Ford Field to play in their 3rd State Championship in a row. The first round of districts will be be against Grosse Pointe South this Friday, at Wayne State University, beginning at 7:00PM. Hope to see you all there!
Soccer
Varsity Soccer spent all weekend prepping and getting ready for their huge regional matchup vs Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook. After performing amazingly well last week, they are set to play tomorrow night at Waterford Kettering starting at 5:00PM! Go get ‘em, guys!
The Cross country
Our swift-footed Pilots finished 9th at the CHSL Championship XC meet this past Saturday. The team was led by Nathan Kafoury (52nd) and Easton Smerek (54th). The team had only a 45-second spread in the top 6 runners.
This Saturday, our guys compete at the MHSAA Regionalsl at Goodells Park.
Let’s get out there and support our all our Pilot teams this week!
