Bowling 

De La Salle (6-2) qualified in 10th place at the Tri-County Championships Saturday, with a 12-game baker total of 2,252. The Pilots proceeded to face off against Eisenhower High School in the round of 16, and fell, 204-178, and 235-215.

Next up for the Purple and Gold is a Catholic League matchup with Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Tuesday. The match is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. at Sterling Lanes. 

Hockey 

De La Salle Collegiate 6, Trenton High School 1: Junior Brady DesMadryl finished with a hat trick in the De La Salle victory, while senior goalie Andrew Parmentier stopped 33-of-34 shots for his 12th win of the season. Additionally, senior Robert Vanderdonck contributed a goal and two assists. He leads the team with 14 goals.

With the win, the Pilots improved to 16-2-1 on the season, and secured the MIHL South Division championship. 

The Purple and Gold will face off with Flint Powers Catholic next. The game is slated for Friday at 1:35 p.m. at the Kennedy Recreation Center in Trenton, and will be played as part of the MIHL Showcase.

Wrestling

Our varsity wrestlers took part in the Jim Peltier Classic Saturday at Yale High School. 

Six Pilots finished in the top five in their respective weight class: Junior Brady Bennie (fifth place; 135 pounds), sophomore Joey Montilla (second place; 140 pounds), junior Vinny Lertola (second place; 189 pounds), junior Cody Beleshi (third place; 189 pounds), junior Nathan O'Donnell (second place; 145 pounds) and junior Casey Beleshi (fifth place; 215 pounds). 

Next up for the Purple and Gold is a tri-meet with Macomb Dakota, Warren Fitzgerald and Dearborn Heights Annapolis Thursday. The meet, which is also Parent Night for De La Salle’s wrestlers, is set to kick off at 5 p.m. inside the Bill Fox Gymnasium.
