The Pilots continued their winning ways in 2022 on Wednesday night against Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League rival Orchard Lake St. Mary's. They blanked the Eaglets, 2-0, improving to 6-0-1 in the new year and 15-2-1 on the season.  

Senior Andrew Parmentier, a candidate for the 2022 State Champs! Michigan Wall Award for the state’s best high school goalie, stopped all 24 shots he faced from St. Mary’s. It marked his third shutout of the season.

Additionally, sophomore Colton Fuqua, who broke up the 0-0 tie in the second period, and senior Jack Rivera each notched a goal in the De La Salle victory. Meanwhile, senior James Sigmon assisted on both goals. 

The Purple and Gold next will face Trenton High School on Saturday. The puck is set to drop at 7:15 p.m. at Mt. Clemens Ice Arena.
