Varsity 

De La Salle Collegiate 59, Birmingham Brother Rice 54: Coming off the bench, freshman Phoenix Glassnor led all Pilots scorers with 15 points. Meanwhile, junior Triston Nichols contributed 14 points, and senior Tamario Adley finished with 11 points.   

Next up for De La Salle (9-2, 2-2 Catholic League Central Division) is a tilt with divisional rival Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Friday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s.

Junior varsity

De La Salle 56, Brother Rice 44: Sophomore Kandakai Sherman led the way offensively for the Pilots with 17 points, while freshman Armoni Portis contributed 14 points.

Next up for the Purple and Gold is a Catholic League divisional clash with Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Friday. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s. 

Freshman 

De La Salle 61, Brother Rice 39: The Pilots remained undefeated with the victory, improving to 10-0 on the season. Dalton Drogosh won the team’s “hardhat” award, which is given out every game to the De La Salle player that best exemplifies a strong work ethic on both ends of the floor.   

Up next for the Pilots is a matchup with Catholic League rival Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Friday. Tip is scheduled for 4 p.m. at St. Mary’s.   

Bowling

De La Salle 20, Dearborn Divine Child 10: The Pilots (5-2) avenged an early season loss to Divine Child, with the win Tuesday afternoon. They swept the baker games, 215-172, and 213-178, and followed with a 961-884 win in their first regular game of the day played against Divine Child. They also captured a victory in game two against the Falcons.

Next up for the Purple and Gold is a Catholic League battle with Detroit U-D Jesuit Thursday. The match will kick off at 3:30 p.m. at Universal Lanes.
