De La Salle Collegiate 28, Detroit Catholic Central 2: The Pilots (3-2) came out firing Thursday, shooting 265 in their first baker game, which included nine consecutive strikes to start off the match. The Purple and Gold went on to win the second baker game, as well, sweeping the Catholic League tilt with the Shamrocks.

Next up for De La Salle is the Macomb County Championships, slated to start Saturday at 8 a.m. at Sterling Lanes.

Hockey 

De La Salle 1, Grosse Pointe South 1: Junior Benjamin Vanderdonck stopped 21-of-22 shots in net. Meanwhile, senior Seaton Heilman scored the lone goal of the contest for the Pilots.

Next up for the Purple and Gold (12-2-1) is a contest with Sault Area High School next Friday. Puck is set to drop at 6 p.m. at Big Bear Arena (Chi Mukwa) in Sault Ste. Marie.
